Proposed Countries

The Proposed Countries page displays all community-proposed countries that have passed staff moderation and are awaiting final approval. This is where the player community votes on which proposed countries should go live.

Finding the Proposed Countries Page

All logged-in players can view proposed countries. Click the Proposed Countries link on the main countries page, or visit the dedicated page to see all proposals that are currently open for community voting.

Viewing a Proposed Country

Each proposed country in the list shows:

  • Country name — The proposed name
  • Description — A summary of the country's theme or lore
  • Proposer — The player who created the proposal (username only)
  • Upvote count — How many players have upvoted this proposal
  • Status badge — "Awaiting votes" or similar indicator

Click on any proposed country to view its full details page, which displays:

  • Governance system — The constitutional structure (monarchy, republic, federal, etc.)
  • Population — The country's fictional population size
  • Legislature(s) — The number of assemblies and seat counts
  • Cabinet positions — Government roles unique to this country
  • Constitutional offices — Special roles like monarch, chancellor, etc.
  • National moods — Permanent cultural moods that shape voter behavior
  • Upvote button — Prominently displayed so you can signal your support

Upvoting a Proposed Country

To show your support for a proposed country:

  1. Log in — You must be a registered Lawmaker player
  2. Navigate to the Proposed Countries page — From the main countries page
  3. Click on the country you want to support — This opens the detail page
  4. Click the Upvote button — Located prominently in the page header
  5. The upvote count updates immediately — You can toggle your upvote on and off

Upvote Strategic Countries

Countries with strong mechanics, creative lore, and active proposers tend to be prioritized for launch. Upvote countries you'd actually play in!

How Staff Uses Community Votes

Staff members review the upvote tallies along with other factors to decide which proposed countries are ready to go live. Countries with:

  • Strong upvote counts
  • Balanced and viable mechanics
  • Unique and engaging lore
  • Active proposers ready to support the country

...are prioritized for final approval and launch.

Sorting and Finding Proposals

The proposals page displays countries sorted by upvote count (most popular first), making it easy to see which countries have the strongest community support.

Proposal Status

Only proposals that have passed staff moderation appear on this page. Proposals still awaiting moderation are not visible to the general public — proposers can only see them in their "My Proposed Countries" section on the countries list.

Next Steps

Once a proposed country is approved by staff and goes live:

  • It appears as a playable country on the main countries list
  • You can create or join a party in that country
  • The proposal page is archived
  • Community votes helped shape the game!
