Laws & Policies¶
This is the reference for the political issues that define your platform and the laws you'll propose and vote on.
Political issues¶
There are 16 political issues in Lawmaker. When you create a party you choose 4 of them as your pillars, setting a position on each. Every issue runs on a spectrum from -1 to +1 (with 0 being neutral), and your positions are what voters compare your record against.
The first eleven issues are two-sided spectrums:

The remaining five are single-position issues — a party either champions them or doesn't:

Pick four issues that form a coherent identity, and be ready to vote for them consistently — that's what builds a recognisable brand with voters.
The laws catalogue¶
There are 95 laws across 21 policy areas — defence, the economy, education, environment, healthcare, immigration, and more. Each law has several options representing different positions, and a proposal changes one or more laws from their current option to a new one.
The full, authoritative catalogue — with each law's current setting, its available options, and their political impacts — is shown in the game itself when you draft a proposal, and on each country's Laws page. That's always the up-to-date source, so refer there rather than to a static list.
